The video app TikTok announced that it had taken down more than 500,000 videos and stopped around 8,000 live broadcasts related to the conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Islamist terrorist group Hamas. According to the Chinese platform, the contents were taken down due to “rules violations”. The measure was a response to a warning from the European Union last week, which asked the social network to fight against illegal content. TikTok ensured that it reinforced its moderator teams.
